This Sunday, November 20, marks the last Sunday in the Christian year. On this day we draw a connection with the end of time when our Lord Jesus will be King of Kings and Lord of Lords. (The following Sunday, November 27, will be the first Sunday in Advent; this marks the beginning of a new Church Year.) Sunday November 20, is now liturgically known as “The Reign of Christ Sunday.” (It was formerly known as “Christ the King Sunday.”) On Sunday we anticipate observing the Rite of Christian Baptism. This is a most appropriate way to mark and celebrate the Reign of Christ. Do plan to be in church and support our candidates for Baptism, and share in the community of faith in praise and prayer. The choir will sing; "Thanks Be to God", by Judy Hunnicutt Following the worship service we will have a time for social fellowship. This is an enriching time providing opportunity to meet new friends as well as renew existing relationships. The Adult Class will follow, lead by Russ MacLeod. Russ is leading us on an exploration of the book or Revelation; a book that looks forward to want is to be.
